After emptying about 2/3 of the shipping boxes and restoring equipment to the railroad over the last several weeks, yesterday & today were devoted to running 17-car manifest freight with double-headed SD-70s for power. A number of track irregularities were discovered, mostly cross-level issues or "kinks" at joints on curves. Some issues may have been amplified by the track buckling uncoverd recently. So far, all have been successfully addressed and the train is running better each time around the railroad. The goal, of course, is to make it around trouble-free on every track.
